Dancing with Grandmomma

When Grandmomma and Papa come to visit, you never know what might happen.  This visit was full of spontaneous dancing!  The kids loved this, especially sine they got to pick out the music to dance to. Check out how we get grooving!

1st Haircut

Samuel finally has enough hair to have a hair cut!  It took several minutes of soothing him before he finally let the lady cut it.  He was not very happy about it though!

"Candy Cane Lane"

We make a point every year to go and look at Christmas lights with the kids.  This year some special friends of ours invited us to go with them to "Candy Cane Lane".  What an adventure!  It's two full streets with almost all the houses decorated.  Some have themes with cute cut outs and some are just decorated nicely with lights, but the best thing about it is the center park.  In the center of the two streets there is a small park where there is a sled you can climb on and a gingerbread house to play in.  The kids loved getting to play outside under the lights!

The first semester progress report

Wow, I can't believe we have completed our first semester of homeschooling!  It has been an incredible journey of fun, laughter, tears, and cuddling!  Nehemiah completed book 2 in Developmental Math, and has gotten half way through the Handwriting without Tears book for K. Natasha has completed book 1 in Developmental Math and Handwriting without Tears for Pre-K.  Rachel has mastered the art of making popcorn out of play dough and Samuel has decided that it might just be time for him to color with some crayons.... for about 2 seconds.... then he wants to know what it taste like!  I can't wait to start back up in January and I hope that it's just as fun as it has been this semester!

Visit to the Aquarium

Our aquarium used to be a cannery, here we learned about how they filtered the steam to the machines.

The giant sea weed.
Samuel happy as can be to see the fish :)

Natasha, Nehemiah, and Rachel looking for an eel.

Nehemiah's favorite thing to see, the Spiny Crab.

In the wave exhibit.

Rachel intently looking for Nemo.

Sitting in the clam shell.

The girls favorite place to be, the dress up area!

Rachel and Natasha as Nemo, and Nehemiah in the background putting on an octopus.

Playing in the water area, learning how to direct water.

I can't tell you enough how much our kids love the Aquarium and it's more special when Daddy doesn't have to work and he gets to go with us! Nehemiah loves going and learning about all the different animals while the other kids just like to ohh and ahh over them.  Nehemiah decided to carry around his notebook and draw and write the names of some animals in it.

Our Christmas Card to You!

Every year we send out a Christmas card with a picture of the kids on it.  This year we decided to do the same thing, but we didn't anticipate just how hard it would be this go around.

2 cameras at a time and 39+ pictures later we think we might have taken the perfect picture.

Merry Christmas to your family from ours.
